Breaking the Communication Wall
“Effective Communication” is a communication between two or more persons wherein the intended message is successfully delivered, received, and understood. In other words, the communication is said to be “effective” when all the parties (both sender and receiver) in the communication, listen carefully and assign similar meanings to the message. The goal of this course is to teach the student to learn the key components needed to clearly and effectively convey the message so that the desired outcome will be achieved. The class will give the student some things to focus on before and during the communication to help get the message across in the manner intended.
Defining a Toxic Employee
One toxic employee can do significant damage to the effectiveness and morale of an entire organizations. As a leader, if you’ve ever said to yourself, “If I had to do it over again, I would not have hired that person!” than that person may be a toxic employee and you should ask yourself why you’re allowing that person to continue to work there. Upon completion of this course, you will become familiar with issues toxic employees can cause for your organization and you will learn how to identify the warning signs and types of toxic employees. The course will also teach you how to develop techniques to deal with toxic employees, methods to prevent toxic behavior; and learn why toxic employees are hired and how to identify common
warning signs of an applicant’s toxic-employee potential. We will also discuss six positive qualities to look for in a new hire.
