Course Description

A 4-hour executive overview of legal issues, Missouri Supreme Court rules, Missouri statutes and case holdings revolving around the civil process duties of Missouri sheriffs.

INSTRUCTOR:

Erik Holland, Attorney, Undersheriff Platte County — In addition to serving as undersheriff and general counsel for the Platte County Sheriff’s Office, Major Holland is the current chairman of the Law Enforcement Liability Advisory Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for Midwest Public Risk. Major Holland is also a member of the Legal Officers Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and is a member of the Legal Advisors Committee for the National Sheriffs’ Association.
