Join us for a webinar on Apr 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM CDT.
This is Part 1 of a 2 Part Webinar. Students must successfully complete both parts 1 and 2 of the program to receive POST CLEE Credit. The Part 2 Webinar will be conducted on April 23, 2021 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Chapter 211 mandates that the Juvenile Officer in each judicial district, and Chapter 589 mandates the Chief Law Enforcement Officer (the Sheriff in most cases except for St. Louise), to register sex offenders and enforce the sex offender registration laws. They also establishes who is to be registered, for how long, and a framework for what offenses or circumstances require registration. Chapter 589 leaves it up to the Chief Law Enforcement Officer to interpret the statutes as they relate to an individual sex offender on a case-by-case basis. The purpose of this training is to provide information the CLEO may use to accomplish their statutory responsibility.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
