Not only are they responsible for the performance of general law enforcement duties\, they are also responsible for guiding recruits through a comprehensive curriculum that requires the blending of knowledge\, skills\, and abilities\, as well as the good judgment of when\, where\, and how to apply them. \nThis course provides the FTO with the essential tools to apply techniques of coaching and role modeling while giving encouragement and direction to the recruit. DESCRIPTION:POST# 18720 \nDates\nSeptember 21 – 23\, 2023  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a night shoot to 9:00pm \nIf you have completed the MSA Firearms Instructor Course you only need to attend September 22 & 23\, 2022. \nFirearms instructors take your skills and abilities to a new level. The addition of the semiautomatic rifle has increased the effectiveness of the patrol officer\, but it also offers challenges to the trainer. This course is a POST approved course required to obtain a patrol rifle specialist instructor license. This two-day course is mentally and physically demanding\, so participants must be in good physical condition. Both days will run longer than the minimum of eight (8) hours with low light shoot.
