The difference between friendliness and inappropriateness can mean different things to different people. Because sexual attraction can play a role in the day-to-day social exchange between employees\, “the distinction between invited and uninvited-but-welcome\, offensive-but-tolerated\, and flatly rejected” sexual advances may be difficult to discern.
