JOB DESCRIPTION: 911 Communications Officers monitor law enforcement telecommunications radio traffic and telephone communications. Requests for service are received and responded to by advising appropriate law enforcement jurisdictions as well as fire and emergency medical technicians. All calls for service are prioritized and entered into the Computer Aided Dispatch system and dispatched accordingly. The National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) will be utilized for driver’s license, vehicle registration information, criminal history requests and warrant maintenance. Training will be provided within the first 6 months of employment.

This position is responsible for receiving, evaluating, and disseminating calls for police and emergency services.
