    Free Webinar: Officers have the duty to enforce the law and are accorded certain privileges in carrying out their duties. When an officer exceeds those privileges other officers on the scene have the duty to intervene and restrain the misfeasor officer. The duty to stop tortious conduct by a fellow officer not only creates conflict for police officers, but an officer's failure to intervene can create serious legal consequences.
